昨天你才離開台北赴英國，媽媽和我就很想念你，今天下午電話中知道你已平安到達倫敦，我們很高興。
當你向我們擺手再見時，我想起Linda Pastan 的一首詩 To a Daughter Leaving Home, 這首詩很美麗、溫馨，有點傷感，卻是愉悅的想起女兒八歲時騎車巔擺快樂向前的情景，我引用它，並寫了一段話貼在我的部落格cch1000’s clippings 上（ http://cch1000.blogspot.com/2007/09/to-daughter-leaving-home-by-linda.html ），這裡剪貼在後面讓你一讀。在此clippings上有一些我喜愛的文章，你有時可上網閱讀。等你到學校安頓好了，開了銀行帳戶，請寫email告訴我們，盼望你常寫emails 或寄文章、照片給我們，我們會很喜歡、安慰。才想起來，你的大皮箱帶上火車有困難嗎？忘了說隨車託運較好。
你到英國深造，是你一生很寶貴的階段，我們和你一起高興。你自己要很珍惜、加油，努力耕耘才有豐收。注意規律生活、保重身體健康，不抽菸，大口呼吸清新潔淨的空氣，有時覺得有壓力或緊張時也做深呼吸。你的聰明、能力、適應力皆好，凡事從容、專注、用功，生活和讀書都會輕鬆愉快、陽光明媚、有所成就；… pumping、pumping for your life, screaming with laughter, ……。
